UK Ticket-Holder Claims £26 Million Euro Millions Jackpot
A single British player has secured the £26 million European lottery top prize, game organizers have verified.
The successful digits selected on the Friday draw were 06, 12, 18, 25 and 41, with the Lucky Star numbers 02 and 06.
This marks the 3rd Euro Millions top prize secured in the United Kingdom in 2024 out of the ten held so far.
In January, one ticket-holder claimed eighty-three million pounds, followed by a sixty-five million pound Valentine's Day win. Both winners decided to be anonymous.
However, the lucky individual of Saturday's £10.6 million National Lottery grand prize has yet to come forward.
A senior winners' adviser advised ticket holders to take a few minutes to review their numbers and electronic messages.
The lucky Lotto combination for the Saturday draw were: 06, 08, 12, 33, 49, 59 and the extra ball was 42.
"We are available to offer support and connect with professional advisors who can help winners maximize the win for them and those close to them," the official commented.
The EuroMillions jackpot will be checked against the lottery regulations, and once approved, the jackpot recipient will decide whether to announce themselves.
Even with turning them into a millionaire, the Friday jackpot of twenty-six million pounds does not put the winner among the top European lottery prize recipients.
A jackpot of more than 183 million pounds would have been required to secure a place in the leading ten of jackpot prizes.
The biggest prize won by a UK ticket-holder is 195 million pounds in 2022, according to the lottery.
Even though it is challenging to win a lottery, it is easier than people believe to leave it unclaimed.
An individual lost a £1 million win recently after not claiming a EuroMillions prize within the six-month time limit, meaning the money was given to charitable causes.
The biggest EuroMillions jackpot to be left untouched in the UK was £63.8m in June 2012.
The EuroMillions game is takes place every Tuesday and Friday across multiple European states.
