In excess of one hundred Progressive Charitable Organizations Condemn Violent Acts and Uphold Their Work

An extensive group of liberal-leaning philanthropic institutions has jointly issued a open declaration censuring violent political actions and voicing opposition over potential government crackdowns aimed at ideological funding.

The document highlights that these incidents has no place in a free nation, and opposes any effort to leverage violent episodes to limit free expression or charitable independence.

“This country is established on the belief that each individual is entitled to voice their views, particularly if many dissent,” the document reads.

The signatories further warn that philanthropic bodies cannot be attacked for pursuing their missions or supporting underserved populations.

Official Stance

This action comes after official statements from high-level officials suggesting a possible suppression on liberal-aligned entities accused of inciting violence.

On a popular media segment, a high-ranking figure claimed that specific outlets had received backing by wealthy donors, an accusation that was later denied by the accused foundations.

Push for Cohesion

Through their statement, the signing entities encouraged national healing and emphasized their pledge to advancing various groups free from intimidation.

“This is a moment for leadership that encourages solidarity as opposed to worsening conflicts,” the statement ends. “Our work continues on assisting individuals regardless of viewpoints to succeed in a peaceful and free society.”

Among the participating groups are a number of recognized philanthropies, though specific names have been excluded in the joint message.
