The state's chief executive the state leader mentioned he was en route to the location in North Codorus Township, approximately 160 kilometers from the city of Philadelphia

"I was informed on the situation involving law enforcement in York County, and am on my way there presently," he wrote on a public forum

"We request those in the region to please adhere to the instructions of nearby authorities," he added

Pictures from the location showed a law enforcement member being airlifted out of the location in a Medevac

The shooting forced a local educational institution in a small community, PA—an area of roughly several thousand inhabitants—to briefly remain indoors. The school officials afterward noted that the campus had not been involved
